As I’ve become more engulfed in social media my online presence has become more complicated. On any given day I’m updating my Facebook and LinkedIn status, I’m tweeting, I’m digging sites, I’m bookmarking to Delicious, and I’m uploading photos to Flickr just to name a few. Luckily, there are a number of sites and services that allow me to lifestream my content.
Lifestreaming is the aggregation of your only presence to one centralized location. When choosing to share your lifestream on your blog, you need to think strategically about the information you’re sharing. I decided to place a friendfeed widget on the homepage of ASOTREG because my personal and professional interests overlap. This way all the readers get access to everything I’m doing online. It’s a great way for me to be transparent and share content I find interesting. A disproportionate amount of my activity will be on Twitter, so you can see my entire feed here. I’m currently developing my personal blog. There, I will dedicate an entire page to my lifestream so people can see everything I’ve done over the past few months including various blog posts.
If you’re looking to get started with lifestreaming I suggest you check out 14 Tools for Real Estate Lifestreaming to decide what service best suits your needs. I’d love to hear how you choose to lifestream your web content.
