I know updates have been sparse recently, but there’s a good reason for the lack of activity. Over the past few weeks I’ve been tirelessly working on various aspects of the site and I wanted to make you all aware of some of the new and updated features:
ASotREG Community
I’ve developed a social network designed at bringing together entrepreneurial-minded students from the various real estate programs across the country. The network is based on the central belief that: when it comes to success, you can’t do it alone. We believe in the power of relationships and celebrate the idea that creativity begets more creativity, knowledge begets more knowledge, more friends begets more friends, and success begets more success. For the time being it’s a closed social network meaning an invitation is required to join. I’ve put together a test group of 5-10 students from each of the major real estate programs, but plan on extending membership to any student or alumni within these select programs in the near future. Depending on the level of success, I plan on eventually opening it up to all young real estate entrepreneurs. If you’re currently a masters in real estate student and would like access to the network, send me an email and I’ll send you an invitation.
Graduate Education
I’ve also worked to further develop the graduate education page of the site, with the ultimate goal to establish a one-stop source of information about real estate specific programs. In addition to the over 12 reviews of 10 different programs (with many more to come), I’ve embedded an excel worksheet which includes every master of Real Estate Program’s website, founding date, tuition, length, and admission requirements to name a few.
YREE Facebook Business Page
Facebook is the single largest social network, it’s over 200 million users is spread out over generations, with the 40-60 year-old demographic growing the most rapidly. Trying to seize this potential, I’ve created a Facebook business page aimed at bringing together young real estate entrepreneurs to share ideas, resources, and to network. The page will act as an extension of ASotREG and the ASotREG community.
Networking Page
I’ve created a new page called ‘Networking.’ There are so many bright, motivated, young people in New York City and I strive to meet every single one of you. Check out the embedded google calendar to see my availability and hopefully we can grab lunch and chat about anything from real estate to entrepreneurship to social media.
Also included on the calendar are all of the real estate events taking place in the greater New York City area. This will include ULI, REBNY, and YREPNY events to name a few. Check back frequently, as this calendar will be continuously updated.
What I am Reading
I’ve added a new widget to the sidebar called ‘What I am Reading.’ It links directly to my Delicious page, which I designate for only the most useful resources I came across on a daily basis.
I will continue to update the site to make it as user-friendly and educational as possible. As always, I’d love to hear any thoughts or suggestions you may have. Put your ideas in the comment section below and let’s make this a great environment to learn and grow together.
