Green Exam AcademyFor a while now I’ve been contemplating getting my LEED Certification. Well, not deciding whether or not to get it, but deciding exactly when to get it. When I graduate from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate next Fall I’m interested in getting involved with sustainable real estate development, investment, and management.

In order to get involved with sustainable development, it’s imperative to get your LEED Certification. However, there’s a lot of mystique and confusion surrounding the LEED Certification process. Lucky for us, Pat Flynn has created the ultimate source for people seeking their LEED Certification, the Green Exam Academy.

Green Exam Academy is an online source where you can find everything you need to help you earn your LEED Green Associate or LEED AP credential for LEED version 3.0.

If you’re just starting out with LEED check out this section to learn which exam you qualify for and how the process works:

The LEED credentialing process is a 3-tiered system:

  • Tier 1: LEED Green Associate
  • Tier 2: LEED AP Specialization
  • Tier 3: LEED AP Fellow

Rather than walk you through the process, I’ll let you check out the site for yourself.

The site also contains study guides, practice exams, and even classes to help you prepare for the exam. These items are not free, but seem reasonably priced. Just to note, I’m  in no way affiliated with the site or its products.

Best of all, Pat answers any questions you have pertaining to the LEED credentialing process, just leave a comment phentermine without prescription on his blog and he’ll get back to you.

What other sources have you found useful in preparing for the LEED examination?

Are there any tips you have for people studying for the exam?

Great timing on the post – honestly just completed a LEED GA prep course today. I took a 1-day class with CleanEdison in Chicago. I'll reserve judgement on the quality of the class until after I take the exam…

Matt, thanks for your comment. You'll have to check back in after the exam. Are you eligible for the LEED GA through a course or seminar you took at UF or do you have experience working with LEED Certified projects? Do you plan on eventually going for the LEED AP?

DePaul doesn't currently have a class that will qualify as LEED GA prep, but the class I took today fills the USGBC requirement. I don't have any LEED experience and my plan is to eventually take the LEED AP, but it depends on what I do after graduation.
