They can be highly restrictive, down to what you can or can’t grow in your garden, what pets you can have, the architectural style that is allowed, or the color of your roofing tiles, so make sure you agree with the conditions.  In addition the association and its bylaws should be tied into either the sale contract/purchase agreement or into the buyer’s deed.</description>

		<description>I find that Home Owner Associations don&#039;t seem to be set out in the same way as I&#039;m used to in the US.  There seem to be fewer bylaws or controls.</description>
